And now, we’re fully into it all!
Final show rehearsals in warm rooms, practising moving the show forward, remembering all the details, celebrating one performance done and done well (Forte Plus and SAOT), creating little candy baggys (yum), putting together pinwheels (mysterious), meeting our band members, figuring out which color represents each song (uplights!), “retiring” my father from So Noted (yes, ’tis weighing on me mightily), practising looking up (me too), selling tickets despite the nice weather and play off hockey (AACK but Go Oilers!), promoting and attending other choir concerts in Edmonton that are coming up in May and finally…..enjoying the moment.
Must always enjoy the moment. Without joy, our time is wasted. Without joy, we do not live fully. Without joy, there is no love, no peace, no hope. They all go together.
So buckle up, “hold onto your butts” (to quote Jurassic Park) and let’s go for this ride and cherish it deeply.
Now is the time.
