This unique and vibrant local choir is filled with experienced choristers who sing a wide variety of genres. Their rehearsals are intensive and rewarding experiences.
So Noted Singers would love to add a few more experienced males voices, but will happily train if necessary!
NEXT REHEARSAL at SACHS (we hope) – check your email!
Our other weekly Monday evening rehearsals are at our usual St. Albert Catholic High School rehearsal location.
All are welcome to join us on Wednesday afternoons as we deliver an hour of casual yet focused rehearsal experiences with our older age group.
We are especially seeking tenors and basses but all voices are free to drop in and check us out. No experience necessary.
Our Wednesday rehearsals are at 2:00 PM, Red Willow Church
15 Corriveau Avenue (Campbell Industrial Park)
Our all-women’s ensemble offers a dynamic experience that showcases women’s voices in unique choral arrangements.
While we’re currently not accepting any more singers at this time, you can get on our waiting list by emailing manager@sonoted.ca
NEXT REHEARSAL at SACHS (we hope – check your email!)
Weekly Monday evening rehearsals are at our usual St. Albert Catholic High School (SACHS) location.
This is an opportunity for seniors in our community to experience acting via reader’s theatre scripts – no memorization necessary! Wednesday afternoon rehearsals allow this troupe to tell a story and work in collaboration with Forte Plus.
Wednesday afternoon rehearsals allow this troupe to tell a story that works well with the songs that Forte Plus sings.
Our usual Wednesday rehearsal is at Red Willow Church
15 Corriveau Avenue (Campbell Industrial Park)
Today I trade speed for presence, noise for meaning; November feels like the right name for slow courage.

Forte Plus
St. Albert choirs
Artistic Director of Acting Out since its inception in 2008, Criselda is thrilled that we now have three choirs and a Seniors Reader’s Theatre group under our umbrella.
SO NOTED:
Starting with a hilarious community pizza party for Christmas in our first year (2023) and then, in spring, the stunning Les Mis concert followed by the Amazing Race Christmas Edition and recently culminating with a show about a high school reunion as a vehicle to sing 19 songs about “time” (you name it, they sang it!), this choir does it all and does it so well. These concerts all told a tale, included surprise elements and were wonderfully immersive. Wait until you see what So Noted will do this year!
CLEOPATRA:
Our new women’s ensemble started with a ‘swing-y’ appearance at So Noted’s Amazing Race Christmas show, and put on a wildly-successful “Speakeasy” show in February. Then they appeared again at So Noted’s spring show about “time” with some shockingly gorgeous songs. In 2 years they have tackled some challenging repetoire and risen to the challenge each time. And this coming year? A little masquerade and mystery with your music this time? Of course! Will they perhaps make a surprise appearance at any of the other group’s shows? we shall see….!!!
ACTING OUT MUSICAL THEATRE:
Our “original” group from 2008 has evolved into an amazing repertory company that makes appearances as “the actors telling the story” at our So Noted shows and our Cleopatra shows. But wait, there’s more! This year they are “hosting” a Halloween musical revue show that you must not miss….unless you are prepared for the dire consequences….just don’t miss it – it’s gonna be fab! And later, it might finally be time to remount that Drowsy Chaperone show that closed before it opened – thank you NOT covid! And as a side note….we now have a touring company comprised of 5 of the actors from AOMT…did you see Perils of Penzance? Watch for that show coming to a locale near you!
FORTE PLUS:
Wednesday afternoons have become a firm fixture in many senior’s lives and we are thrilled to continue together after just 2 years of singing many new and much loved tunes together in both our Christmas and spring terms. This group continues to impress on every level and manages to easily fill seats while happily raising money for the local foodbank. You must witness this amazing bunch of people sing so beautifully together.
SENIORS ACTING OUT TOGETHER:
We started SAOT with Fiddler On The Roof of course! Forte Plus sang and this reader’s theatre troupe told the story. Simply wonderful! Then they told the famous tale of a certain Ebeneezer Scrooge at Christmas while Forte Plus provided the music. Their spring show was an insanely entertaining collaboration with FP – an old fashioned radio show entitled “Murder, Mayhem and Music”. Wanna know what they will add to Forte Plus Christmas show? Stay tuned!

Past Events

Why did I join choir almost 14 years ago? Simply put, I wanted to heal.
I loved singing in my mom’s choirs as a child, but I fell away from it during my teenage and young adult years. Finding music again with Criselda has made such a difference in my life physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. I love the music, the harmonies, the community and especially performing! Being part of something that brings musical joy into the world is truly a gift – one that everyone should experience!
One memory that stands out for me. My very first performance at the Arden and being so excited to see my mom afterwards. I wanted her to be proud of me. And she was thrilled.
