These are brilliant and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it earlier for my Dad. I bought myself a pair about 3 months ago and wear them almost every day. And then just a few days before we left on our “stay-cation” while my brother and his partner came from Winnipeg to look after Dad, I suddenly realized I should simply get some for my Dad. He LOVES them! And he loves showing us again and again how he can just step into them without sitting down or bending over. Cute.
And yes, the podiatrist had to do another bit of cutting on both big toe nails but so far so good and he’s walking happily without pain. Woohoo!
He had a great time with my brother and his partner which makes me really happy. And yup, I had documents and lists and whatnot ready to go….you know me….
Yes, I did indeed worry but only slightly so I was quite proud of myself.
And the big irony? While we really enjoyed ourselves and our time off, we missed Dad and would point out things to each other that we thought Dad would like. So we promptly took him to Taste Of Edmonton when we got back and he promptly sat down on a bench while my husband got plates of food and I sat with my Dad. We have wisely decided not to try K-Days with him…..
But we want to take him to some of the new pathways and hikes we found within our city! Yes, we saw benches so it’s all good, I promise.
