….this time with my Dad and our daughter and daughter-in-law. And, for a whole week!
Should be interesting. We start in Victoria and then head to Parksville and then back to Sidney. I wonder if I can convince my Dad to not pack up every night but only on the nights we need him to. We’ll see!
Hope to download a bunch of choir music to listen to and sing along with during driving days. It’ll be interesting to see what seems familiar to Dad.
But the big hope is that he agrees to get in his wheelchair so we can really move along and see more as a direct result. Here’s hoping!
Yes, he went to his last China lecture but again thought it was current instead of history. Ah well. Now we wait until September for the next lecture series on topic unknown to start.
And so far, he’s been leaving his window air conditioner in the window although he did ask the second night if he should take it out or not. We replied….NOT…please.
We’ve decided to put directions on both his stove and his cannister of oats for how to cook said oats but since we’re going away for a week, there is a good chance he’ll forget how to cook those oats completely anyway. So far, so good – working well and he easily accepted this and hasn’t thrown out the directions….yet! hahaha
I will likely skip the blog next week while we are on the island and let you know how it all went the week after. Stay tuned…..
